This story began in 1871 when the pahlawan fled Korea with an American military ship with an American missionary. This story was revealed when the boy recalled migration during Shinmiyangyo, a US military expedition to Korea which resulted in fighting. He landed at U.S. and 30 years later returned to Korea as an American soldier, to the country that left him. While stationed in Korea, he met and fell in love with a noble daughter.
